HOW TO DEAL WITH CRITICISM.

Nobody likes being criticised but unfortunately it is a fact of life we cannot escape. To be able to respond to criticism with nobility is a life skill that many lack. When we take on to criticism without careful consideration it leads to unnecessary suffering.
Dealing with criticism ,whether destructive or constructive is made easier with the seven steps:

1.What can I learn from criticism?

criticism always has some bit of truth in it.Even though the criticism may be negative, it is an opportunity for you to learn and improve on your character and your flaws.

2.Respond to the suggestion 


and not the tone or the style of the criticism.
People may make valuable criticism suggestions but the tone and style which they direct it to us may not please us since it may be done out of anger. The best thing to do in such a case is to detach the emotion from the criticism was made and learn from the situation.

3.Value criticism.

Problem is that as normal people we love praise all the time. When we are told kind words, we feel happy, when we are criticised we feel miserable. But with lots of insincere praise and flattery, will we ever improve?? We should embrace constructive criticism and better our lives.

4.Dont take it personally.

This is the biggest problem that comes with criticism. When people criticise us directly , we should feel that they are not criticising our real self but a habit in us which is not good or productive and habits can always be changed.

5.Ignore false and destructive criticism.
Sometimes we are criticised with no justification ,this is a painful experience. However, we can deal with this easily by not giving it more importance than it deserves.Treat it as an insignificant none issue and move on with your life happily.

6.Don't respond immediately.

If we respond immediately to criticism with feelings of anger or injured pride we might regret it later. It is well to wait until you are calmer and reflect on things better.

7.smile.

Smiling helps us relax more, creates positive vibration, a calm environment and even motivates the other person to use moderation in their approach.
